joins us along with his wife Florine, from New Dover Methodist Church in Edison. He has extensive pastoral experience in both the United States and India. He has been the Field Education Supervisor at Princeton Theological Seminary since 2012 and considers outreach and visiting the sick as one of the highest priorities of his ministry. He enjoys writing and has had several articles published in national and regional magazines.
received her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is an experienced musician, musical director, performer, church cantor and choir director. In addition to serving as FUMC’s music director, she is also on staff at the Pineda Conservatory of the Performing Arts. Originally from Richmond, VA, Patricia now splits her time between Astoria, NY and Cranford, NJ. She’s happy to be to be taking the baton over from FUMC’s former musical directors, and her siblings, Juan and Valerie Pineda.
has been a member of FUMC of Scotch Plains for 32 years and has served as church secretary since January 1982. During this time she has worked with 7 pastors. Nancy was born and raised just a few houses away from the church. After having her two children, Dane and JoAnn, she took the church job because the hours allowed her to be with her kids once they got out of school. Although her children have been out of school for many years, she is still very happy to serve as church secretary.
